PVC windows
The first PVC windows have been manufactured more than 50 years ago. Today in Europe and Latvia double-glazed windows form about 60% of the market of windows. During the last decade, the windows made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material, have become increasingly popular.
Double-glazed windows are characterized with many important advantages:
- They are cheaper
- Longlife – do not deform and do not deteriorate under the influence of climatic conditions
- Easy maintenance
- High thermal stability
- Resistant to UV radiation
- Shock-resistant
- Environmentally friendly composition (it’s easy to recycle and use again).
It is the composition of the profile that provides quality.
Today, in the trade of PVC windows it is good practice to offer minimum 5-chamber profiles. More chambers in the the window profile provides extra hardness (statics), reduces the thermal conductivity. The qualitative profile prescribed for countries with cold сlimate should have an outer wall of not less than 3mm.
When selecting windows, you need to pay attention to the aforementioned nuances.
Logi Lukss use systems of profiles of the German manufacturer KBE in production of their windows, which is one of the world leaders in the manufacture of PVC profiles.
The advantage of PVC windows:
- Do not require special maintenance
- No need to paint
- Maintain its original form throughout the lifetime
- Allow to maintain temperature and the comfort of your home
An important component of the qualitative window is the strengthening element. This is a metal structure, which is placed in a double-glazed profile, giving the frame the necessary firmness so that it can withstand the weight of glass that may reach 100 kg. Any building throughout its life “walks” a little. Strengthening element helps the window to maintain its form and function, not to give in to such “tectonic” activity.
PVC windows – 88 millimeter system
- Improved thermal performance due to 88mm mounting depth and a groove depth of glazing: The value of Uf 1.1 W/m2K

- 6-chamber technology
- Modern design
- Extensive wood texture and color
- Simplified production
- Improved static properties
- Both external and internal chambers of the profile are made of recycled materials and are produced using Greenline – nature friendly lead-free stabilizers
- With the addition of central seal coefficient of thermal conductivity can be improved even up to Uf = 0,79 W/m2K
- High compatibility and optimized installation
PVC windows – 70 millimeter system
- 5-chamber system
- Mounting Depth 70mm
- Double glazing up to 42mm
- Increased insulation (18% more than in 3-chamber profile system)
- Improved noise reduction (approximately 45 dB with double glazing of 36mm)
- In addition, smaller and lighter (more light and attractive window, in comparison with its analogues)
- More secure against breaking in
- Ecological composition of plastics, using “greenline” production
- Ability to equip a window with air ventilation system “Regel-air”, which provides the air exchange of 5.3 m3/h
Loss of heat in the room is measured with the value of the U – coefficient of thermal conductivity, which is expressed in units W/m2K, the lower the value U, the better is heat insulation.
